1. Who we are

Mia's Aesthetics ("we", "us", "the studio") is an aesthetic studio located at 5031 E Orangethorpe Ave unit g, Anaheim, CA 92807, operated by Erlym Monasterios. The business owner is the data controller.

2. Data we collect

  • Contact data: name, phone / WhatsApp, email.
  • Service data: treatment of interest, consultation or message you leave.
  • Technical data: IP address, user-agent, referrer, date and time of visit.
  • Strictly necessary cookies (session, language, modal dismissed). We do not use advertising tracking cookies.

3. How we use it

  • Reply to your inquiry and schedule your appointment.
  • Send treatment information (only if you opt in).
  • Improve the website.
  • Comply with legal and health obligations (treatment records, informed consent).

4. Who we share it with

We DO NOT sell or transfer your data to third parties for commercial purposes. We only share with:

  • Tech providers (hosting, database, messaging automation) under contract and confidentiality.
  • Authorities when required by law.

As a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect about you.
  • Access your personal information.
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Delete your personal information (subject to legal exceptions).

6. Health data (HIPAA)

Mia's Aesthetics provides non-medical aesthetic services. Still, we treat any health data (allergies, contraindications, medications) with maximum confidentiality. This data is stored separately and only authorized staff has access.

7. Minors

The site is not directed to under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. Treatments on minors require written authorization from a parent or legal guardian.

8. Data retention

We keep your data only as long as necessary for described purposes or as required by law. Inquiry data (without completed appointment) is deleted after 12 months of inactivity.

9. Security

We use HTTPS on every page, encryption at rest and in transit, and certified providers (Vercel, Supabase). No internet transmission is 100% secure — we do our best.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect legal or operational changes. The "last updated" date above always shows the current version.
